York; if you believed the tour guides all that’s ever happened in York involved blood, deceit and family break-ups! And yet they have lovely places like the Judi Dench riverside walk.
Then there’s the city walls with the archers slits… how they ever saw anyone attacking beats me, as there were huge blind spots.
The guide said this was a normal Saturday in the ‘Shambles’… now I understand where the word comes from!
York; full of amazing architecture, ghosts, and Harry Potter. Cobbled streets, bowed buildings, and little shops pushing mementos made in China.
And for the best view in the house, the city walls walk, looking down into gardens and across the city. Then there was the straw-drinking experience of a mango bubble frappe, with cream, icecream and little bubbles of mango that burst in your mouth! 🥰
